Just caught the last 15 minutes of Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal on keyhole.
And I think I should have just gone back to bed!
Even the card game was immensely boring, with Yuma being a complete beginner and the strongest monster boasting only 2500 ATK. Especially if you're comparing to the other card game geniuses like Yugi/Atem, Judai, and Yusei (BRING HIM BACK).
If this is the future, Yusei should have just let Ark Cradle drop...
I'll probably keep watching it.
Edit: Finally saw the whole RAW. I think I liked it a bit better the second time. Though the writing is really a rehash of beyblade season one, down to the asshole-ish antagonist with dual-toned blue hair.
Another thing that bugs me is how absolutely everyone has two-toned bangs. (Whereas, I've noticed, in DM/GX/5Ds, only the main character ever had more than one hair color. Odd.)
Yuma reminds me of a younger version of Judai with much crazier hair. Which mostly isn't a bad thing. Also, I kind of dig the virtual reality they have going on. You get the cool effects and property damage is a lot easier to explain away. I noticed that some of the pedestrians disappeared when they activiated the D-gazers. What happens if you bump into them?
