"Writer's Block: What do you think of human cloning?"
Human cloning brings back to mind House of Scorpions with little clone-boys being harvested for organs so the creepy original could live forever. To up the dosage of Nighmare Fuel, the wrinkly original started lavishing fatherly-love on the protagonist-clone. Right before he went all "gimme ur <3, lolz 8D".
It seems like a significant amount of science-minded people I know think it opens up a wealth of medical possibilities worth exploring. Like... cloning human organs to sustain people's lives, but hopefully in a less traumatizing way then the aforementioned.
They also say that cloning animal parts can solve world hunger. Though, personally, I don't really want to eat anything that once resembled anything like bloody slabs of meat floating in test-tubes.
organs floating in jars = scary. Has anyone seen a preserved elephant heart before? They're kind of fascinating, in an eldritch kind of way.
