More from the fabric market...

By the way, given a large enough order, I might be able to be convinced to go to Seoul and send you all fabric, if you request it.

I would have to be bringing back a reasonably-sized order (as in, combined from all of you) in order to make it worth my while, and you would have to pay for shipping (which isn't that bad, actually, from Korea), but I would consider making a trip up some weekend, maybe in August, with a stop by the fabric market. I would charge about $1-2/yd over the cost of the fabric, to help defray my travel costs, but that's probably about it.

Linen was about $3-$6/yd for colors, likely less for natural/unbleached. Wool ranged from about $6-$12/yd, and ranged from a lightweight suitable for a heavy winter shirt to a heavy cloak-weight wool. I didn't see much suitable cotton or, surprisingly, much suitable silk, unfortunately, but I will look around more next time. But linen and wool I generally know pretty well, and there was quite a bit of it. I do burn-test fabric, so I can make sure the fabric is pure if that's important to you (it is to me, but not to everyone).

Okay, here, have some more photos from the fabric market:

Accessories for traditional Korean dresses.

It really was that dark inside in most areas, and that's why some of the shots are so dark. I could have brought the fill-light up a lot more, but I wanted to accurately depict what the lighting was like in this very strange and wondrous place. Even as it is, these are relatively lightened. Except the first shot. That first shot (which I love) is 100% original, straight from the camera.
