My day for random ramblings, it seems...
Again, theories and speculation based loosely on spoilers. If you're spoiler-free and want to stay that way, do not proceed, do not pass Go, do not collect £/$200... Not that I have it to give to you anyway...
Neither Ziva or Tony are gonna die in the season finale, despite the wild theories going around that one of them is. I refuse to believe it. Denial, my friends, is a wonderful, wonderful thing. Instead, I think Ziva's Israeli boyfriend is gonna end up deaded and Tony may be inadvertly responsible. I also think it's going to end with one hell of a cliffhanger wherein we're left thinking one of our favourites is dead. *crosses fingers* The title of the season finale, 'Aliyah', suggests Ziva's going to return to Israel but... They did that at the end of season five and brought her back in the first episode of season six. It could be a cool character arc for next season. *is trying to be hopeful*
Looks like there'll be two love interests for male members of the team at the end of the series. Lara Macy, who's going to be in the spinoff, and Julia Yates, who's going to be recurring.
Lara Macy is supposed to have a history with Gibbs but I'm discounting the thought of a major love interest between them since she's going to be busy on the spinoff and he's, hopefully, gonna be sticking around on NCIS. With Abby. Hee.
The second love interest... Not sure if it's for Gibbs or McGee. Julia Yates is supposed to get under the skin of certain members of the team according to TV Guide - butting heads with one, flirting with another and making someone else jealous. I'm thinking, because the Michael-Ziva-Tony love triangle will be underway by the episode she's in might mean she butts heads with Gibbs, flirts with McGee and makes Abby jealous. Though I'd prefer Abby not to get jealous over McGee but I guess we can't have everything ;) Just hoping she doesn't end flirting with Gibbs (though that'd be interesting if it leads to obvious Abby jealousy...) because, urgh, that makes me think of Hollis Mann, who - try as I might - I cannot completely like.
