Did I just get married?

The last few days have been incredibly chaotic for me, both in good and bad ways.
First of all, there has been a major problem with my electricity meter and of course the power company are useless in trying to fix it for me. I was so worried that for the past few days I havent been using the tv or computer. It's not fixed yet but I think I can use them. I'm still very pissed and a bit worried though.

But the main thing - Joonas has moved in with me! After 6 years together we are living together!! When I met him at Paddington station I was so overwhelmingly happy that I almost knocked over him and his suitcase. He wouldn't have been too pleased if I had knocked it over, since it had his PS3 in it.

Our first few days together haven't exactly been romantic. In fact they've been rather stressful. Most of the time we've been doing the important stuff like food shopping, getting him the things he needs and trying to fit his stuff in a flat that's built for 1 person.

After he arrived and unloaded his stuff there was no space anywhere. I felt like the characters in Megatokyo, living in a storage room! Most of it has been cleared up now but we both want to move to a bigger place ASAP.

Yesterday I wanted to show him around Bath but the rain was all 'No, no fun for you!' and kept pouring on us, soaking our clothes. Curse you weather, how dare you give Joonas an accurate portrayal of Britain!! He also got a bit antsy from not playing video games for several days. Yep, he's one of those people...

Today was buying more stuff we need. I'm used to eating on my knees but he doesn't like eating without a surface, so thanks to Habitat going bust we bought a couple of cheap end tables. So now we are eating Japanese stye. In fact with a tiny apartment and the little table I really feel like I'm in a manga!!

We also realised that our room was so messy that we really had to clean. The dust was starting to affect his breathing. That's a sign that you should probably vaccum. He quickly realised that my skills in cleaning are abismal.
Joonas: "Hey Jess, did you know there's mildew growing in this glass?'
Jess: "Uh...that's...a science experiment..."
Hence, he's taken durasdiction of the kitchen. Except for making tea, because only I can make it the way I like it. It totally feels like I just got my own wife!

Tomorrow I hope that the electric will finally be fixed and I will actually get some work done. It's also been an expensive few days with all the new things we've had to buy. But that's what savings are for. And by savings I mean parents.

Even so, I'm very happy with my life changing overnight. Even when we're just doing normal things, we're still so relaxed and comfortable around each other. I guess that means we have a good relationship. It feels really good setting up a proper home together, even if it is tiny and messy.

I know during the next few weeks there will be almost too much stuff for us to do, and it won't always be easy or fun. But I'm still excited.
