Boing! Booing! Booooing! I am bouncing round the room with happiness. Not only cos today is my birthday. Yay! 20! I'm becoming a real woman! But I still look young enough to wear cute cloths.
I had 6 hours of lectures and seminars today so I'm pretty knackered. My tutor who's usually a right bastard was actually pretty cool today and gave me some good advice. When I told him my travel article wasn't accepted he said 'why not? It was pretty good.' Correct, sir!
When I told him i'm interested in Neo magazine he said anime scared him since it has so much porn and violence and weirdness in it. I guess to someone who's not used to it it is. A lot of people say anime has bad animation and art style. I guess it just takes getting used to. Or maybe it's because Japanese animators get paid slave wages. That said, the Miyazaki films are all visually stunning, even the old ones.
Back to me, I got a bunch of great dvd's, a book and 2 Sims games. No doubt I'll be spending my birthday money soon. The question is on what? People always seem to buy me dvd's. Hardly anyone buys me books even though I had quite a few on my list. Plus I got mp3 player mini speakers. So cool!
Now the best present- I sent an e-mail to The Bath Chronicle asking to do a film review on The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, which I'm seeing on wednesday. I was shitting myself afterwards, thinking they'd never take it or they already had a journalist on it. Buuuut they accepted! Yay me! Go me! It's only on the website but it's better than nothing and it's my break into the industry. Plus it will hopefully mean I've passed this module. Just yesterday I was worried I wouldn't pass since I don't particularly like journalism. That said, I've got a few ideas for articles and it won't hurt sending them out.
Tonight I will celebrate with my new dvd's, Merlin and Hollyoaks smut and my lovely Galaxy bar that Katie got me.

birthday
