(no subject)
My power went out Friday during a huge storm. Matt and I had about 10 people over and nobody could go home because of the storm. I'm sitting at Panera charging my laptop and phone. I'm just glad I saw Sex and the City before that happened. I heard people missed 20 minutes of the movie because of it. I would have been very unhappy. Anyway, Matt and I have been eating out for every meal and sitting around candles at night....and not showering because the water is freezing. At least I didn't have to go to work today. It is officially my first day of summer break. The weather has been just beautiful since the storm, we spent every minute possible outside with the dogs going to parks and such this weekend. Matt and I are trying to teach Oliver to swim. Jake just loves the water so much, we are trying to get the puppy to like it to. Matt closes on the house this wednesday. It was supposed to happen last Friday...which would have been a lot more convenient since it has power. I'm just very excited to get in and paint. Matt wants to install some more lighting, we need a fence, we want to build a deck and finish the basement. It will be nice to finally be in a house we don't mind putting money into.
