Entry 21 - Old Enemy, New Face
Janus Cascade. He's alive. And not only that ... he's become a Demon. Metal skin, blood like quicksilver, burning crimson eyes ... it's just like the pictures in the storybooks. The Guardians were terrified of him. No, not Janus; the power inside of him. And I hate to admit it, but even I was kinda scared, seeing him in his Demon form. It seems that he was changed against his will, but he's totally power-drunk, and enjoying it.
He's teamed up with some strange robed woman, too. That bitch nearly clawed Clive's eyes out when he told her (in so many words) that she was an ugly skank. Took both me and Gallows to pry her off ... I really don't know where all these loony women come from. Maybe my luck is just that bad. They both ran off before we could interrogate them (and they stole the priceless artifact we were after, too, the jerks!).
I feel like I'm being dragged into matters too big for me to comprehend. I don't like this. Not one bit.
On a completely unrelated note: Clive has a wife and daughter. I never woulda pegged Professor Know-It-All as a family man.
