Entry 11 - Setbacks
The Eternal Sparkle ... Guess it wasn't a big jewel after all. It's full name was lost to time, many centuries ago. It is called "The Eternal Sparkling Darkness." A spear that glitters blackly in the light, capable of cutting away all life, even the life force of Filgaia. It was created by demons long ago, and now it is sealed by the bodies of three demons who took the form of shields.
That's what Janus told us, right before he took the Hieraco Shield, which was hidden deep within the Ruins of Memory.
See, I just knew that jerk was going to double-cross us! I saw this comin' from a mile a way, but I couldn't do anything to stop it. Because our leader put her trust in that slime ball, instead of her teammates. Now we've lost the shield and we've come back empty handed ... again.
Well, I hope Virginia's learned her lesson. The good thing about this whole situation is that I can go all-out on that jerk the next time we meet. Hell, it looks like Virginia will be happy to blow off a little steam by using Janus as a punching bag.
