Entry 47 - Nidhogg Pass

I really, really, really hate this place. It's a downright serpent's nest of trouble. Two-headed snakes, giant lizards that spew toxic gas... I feel like one of those Drifter heroes from the newspaper serials.

My life has become a fractured fairy tale. Slaying dragons, rescuing damsels in distress, discovering hidden ruins, thwarting the diabolical ( Read more... )

It's a pretty deserted area, from what I can tell. And the directions were so vague, we had a hard time finding it ourselves.

Maybe that's why no one has found it before.

Well, Lamium says he did. He's the one that told us about it.

He said he had to bring back the knowledge he gained from Yggdrasil and share it with all mankind. That's why he started the Order of the Ark of Destiny. Some weird techno-cult, if you ask me, but they do a lot of charity work for the people. I dunno, something just seems off about those people...

Well, they call themselves a religion. I just think some of their practices are a little... cult-like. But it seems like they genuinely do care about helping people out. They maintain a lot of essential technology without asking for pay. So, I guess they're all right. Doesn't mean I'm gonna join up or anything.

I don't trust them. They always seem to brainwash people and make them do all sorts of work.

I wouldn't say evil per se. Just a little odd, that's all. Besides, they offer good work and even better pay to honest Drifters like us, so I got no beef with them.
