So, I've had some time to assess my companions strengths and weaknesses while traveling to the Baskar Colony. Here are my initial findings:

Something just seemed familiar about it.

((A long, long time ago Maraich agreed to "take care" of the drifters in exchange for Malik making a clone of his dead son. But that contract has been broken!))

Malik ... it's such an unusual name, though. Whatever.

So, what's your name? You've been around the comm for very long?

((I remember that! It's probably for the best that Maraich doesn't mention meeting Malik until after Jet and the others meet him. Because, well, Jet also has some "special connections" with Malik and the Prophets, which will be revealed later on ...))

Wow, calculating. Any chance you'll start doing these for people from the comm?

And trust me, just having less in the pants doesn't mean somebody's less capable of fighting. Or bounty hunting. Whatever your job is.

Maybe. Depends on how interesting these people are, and if I even end up staying long enough to form an opinion of anyone.

We're Drifters. We travel around and take on any job worthy of our time. So, yeah, bounty hunting plays into that, too.

And I'm not saying girls can't be good Drifters. I'm just saying that if she doesn't have what it takes to survive out here, then she oughta just go home.

Not really. I only have to worry about feeding myself, and I don't have to put up with all the annoyances that come with traveling with others. This is just a temporary thing for me.

That's because most girl Drifters just do it for a lark. They strap on an ARM and go traipsing about the Wasteland, looking for adventure, or romance, or whatever. Then when they find out how difficult it really is to survive out here, they run home crying to mommy and daddy. Really pisses me off.
