Entry 32 - Shrine of the Luck Guardian

That's what Janus Cascade said when we finally caught up to him. That's ... the same sort of philosophy that I've always had. I wanted to be strong, so that I wouldn't be manipulated by others who have power. But I never really thought about it the way Janus does. He believes that to have power means denying the freedom of others. I don't think that's the case. But it's kinda scary to think just how similar he and I are...
He put up a good fight. Even better than the last time, now that he's got the Guardian's life energy. He still managed to walk away, pretty much unscathed. Damn, I hate this! No matter how hard we fight, we always seem to just barely survive by the skin of our teeth.
So, now we've got another Medium. Chapapanga, the Guardian of Luck. Sounds pretty cool. A thief like me can always use a little bit of luck on his side.
