Am back from St. Louis all summer, was more amazing than I can fit in one post. Am back from a week in Idaho, that's short enough to give highlights.
Rode my cousin's Harley, shot three different guns, went to British Columbia, Canada (I like Canada), went in an abandoned mine, spiked my mohawk and got very stared at walking around Northern Idaho, went clubbing (which I'm sure you can imagine, in Northern Idaho, was just smashing) (really, it wasn't that bad). All of these were firsts.
My uncle has a beautiful chestnut horse. They also have a cat, which I got to like me by the end of the week. This is apparently a first also.
I went to an event called White Trash Racing. I shit you not. Bump-to-Pass racing on a quarter-mile track, which means there was a crash that took out three cars before they even made it around the first turn. Definitely a first. (And if I lived in Idaho, it definitely wouldn't be a last either.)
Had a problem with our flight that resulted in a 14 hour travel day, a layover that got us on a plane an hour after we were originally supposed to be back in Chicago, $30 in free airport food, and an upgrade to first class. Also a first.
I really hate the socio-economic implications of it... but oh man, was first class so cool.
Leaving for Grinnell tomorrow.
