All the lights are changing red to green…

I suppose I gave birthdays a bad rep.

I’ve had a pretty spiffy one.

Got my midnight call from Ebbers, always a grand thing!

Woke up around 11:15, and my mom had to go to my grandpa’s doctor appointment, and be there by 11:40, so I opened up my cards, found out that Pulse is a ‘for sure, definite’ lol.

Anyways…they got back from the doctor, and it was pretty much insanely depressing. It wasn’t a good visit at all. He’s really sick. There’s just no way around it.

I guess they (my Grandma and the doctor…NOT my grandpa) were talking about Hospice
Not in a deep way, but like…he told her that it would be a good idea to figure out what he wants, and think about it in depth before we get to that stage.

He’s in pretty bad shape…which, while I knew today would be bad, I didn’t think it’d be this bad. His PSA level went up from 2 something, all the way up to 5 in just over a month…that’s absolutely crazy. He’s been eating better though, in spurts, but yea. It’s pretty much a waiting game now.

My dad got home, and we went to Olive Garden. It was weird:

I got a box to take some stuff home, and was putting my food in there, and he was like “why don’t you pay for it, and I’ll get the food in the box” and I was like “…I don’t have money…” but he was like “I know, but sign for it”…I was just…totally clueless, I wasn’t going to sign his name- my mom’s, fine, but his?

Yea…after the strangest confusion, the waiter came over to get the check and my dad was like “My daughter still needs to sign for this. You see, it’s her birthday, and part of her gift is this credit card, so she hasn’t signed the back yet.”

I was just…my jaw kinda dropped, and I ended up laughing hysterically. It was amusing, and yet so awkward, so the guy stood there, and I was still kinda lost, and yea…had to sign it super fast, so it looks quite silly, but yea.

So we do that- get home, and my mom gets home from school, and we were talking about the credit card thing, and she was like “well…we have one more thing..” Pulled out this weird looking box, I open it up, and Goo Goo Dolls tickets were sitting in there. Yea. I pretty much cried! (no joke lol…I’ve been dying to go to a GGD show!)

Oddly grand birthday.

Keyboard
Pulse (which is free- but she HATES driving for shows lol)
Credit Card (which is mainly for emergencies- my dad originally got it for when I was going to go to Mexico, so I could have money, without having cash on me, so yea…it will hardly ever be used)
Goo Goo Dolls

grand?

grand indeed.

catching up
