Aja, Anthony, and I went to the Appletree today. First time in years. Well..okay, maybe only a year and a half, but we used to go there ALL the time.
The lady knew us, and remembered our order though. It was too funny!
They’ve got the greatest rolls ever. But they’re kinda hard to eat lol.
I tried to get all of us in…I’m really bad at this self-picture thing lol
Yay for listening to music in Aja’s car…with all of us in the front? lol..really uncomfortable, and I made Anthony’s leg go numb, but it’s all good! :-p
hah! I finally got all three of us! lol yea…we totally weren’t crammed at all! And I DEFINITELY didn’t have a giant Rubbermade box going into my spine :-p lol
But yea, it was fun. Especially considering I haven’t felt good lately. But I’m good now.
On the way home, I realized I basically couldn’t get home because of the 500 traffic. It was so crazy. Two ways were blocked, so I was like “okay- I’ll go back this way”…do that, start to turn left (this being like…10 seconds away from where I’d turn in to my street) and some stupid cop, who HAD let other people turn there was like, “you can’t go this way- what the hell do you think you’re doing?” and like, the lane you turn in was baracadded off, but you can’t see that from where I was when I got in the turn lane. There were other cars in front, and he let them by. Then there was a guy in front of me who went, and I followed him, and the cop completely flipped on us, after letting the other people go. There weren’t ANY cars in the lane that would turn right, so I figured he’d let us go there…so we’d be in the wrong lane- basically causing a head on collision if there were cars, but there weren’t. So yea. It took me like 20 minutes to get home from a place that was 5 minutes away. haha yay for sounding stupid by saying “that one street, and the other street”…but I mean, why put street names? no one who reads this knows what in the world I’m tlaking about.
The cop was a total jerk about it though. They normally at least talk to you, and figure out what you’re doing, and he really should have let me through, because my street was .5 seconds away from him. One guy who turned behind me actually got out of his car and started flipping out on the cop, like “how the f am I supposed to get home!? You JUST let those people go….” So I just threw the car in reverse and got out of there. It was so ridiculous, and this idiot was never going to change his mind…and the guy behind me was really getting crazy, so I might as well leave.
BLAAAAHHH lol I mean, seriously- there wasn’t ONE main road to my house open, so I had to go allllll the way through the neighborhood, through the really creepy part that scares me to death…and yea…it just wasn’t cool at all.
ANYWAYS lol…I’ve been playing guitar all afternoon. I’ve become re-obsessed with it. Getting Slide completely down really got me back into it.
I was so sad. I asked my mom if it was supposed to be nice out tomorrow, and she said yes…and then I realized tomorrow is a holiday, so the park will be lame lol. Ah well…Tuesday maybe? I REALLY want to go to the park again! Found out today that Aja goes there a lot…so that’s definitely fun. I like that park…has awesome little shoe slides and stuff. Taking a camera next time for sure..because it’s very cool.
Started reading Brennan Manning’s ‘The Signature of Jesus’ yesterday, and it’s really good so far. I wasn’t gonna highlight anything, but yea- that idea totally went down the drain about 4 pages in lol. Ah well.
About a year ago I talked to CJ about something, and she definitely helped me out a ton with it, and it’s kinda weird, because it was just a simple question, and she definitely said what I needed to hear…but it’s strange because last night, God just put the cap on the bottle with it. It was like…two years after I started thinking about this, wondering about it, being totally puzzled…I really feel as though it’s completely done now. Like…I got my answer. I got a huge chunk of the answer quite a while ago when talking to CJ, but I can finally just…take what I learned and move on. And it’s grand!
But yea…I believe I shall go play guitar…It’s sitting on my lap, and my amp is still turned on…hooked up and everything…and you know…it’s not the most comfortable posistion to type in! So yes…bleh!
*sighs* yea…Goo Goo Dolls are an amazing guitar band. Their stuff is all just so fun! (as long as it’s kept in standard tuning…I HATE detuning my guitar *shudders*)
