my amortentia potion would smell like moldy old books XD
There's the yearly used book fair going on this weekend (if you're in the Maryland area, head over to the Timonium fairgrounds from 10 am to...I think 6 pm) and of course, I'm going. I need more books like I need a hole in my head but I can't pass up a book sale, especially used books. I'm going twice, too - once with the family and once with my friend Jes. She's like me in the book department (hopelessly obsessed) and when I told her about the sale she instantly wanted to go. She also suggested that we create lists of what we already have, so we don't buy doubles.
Not that I have any problem with doubles (or triples) because I'll just give away extra copies of books I already have to other people and make them read them (unless they're Terry Pratchett or Ellery Queen books. Those I hoard. My preciousss). But I have been meaning to keep some kind of record of all the books I have, and have stayed up all night spent the past few hours raiding my shelves and listing all the titles I own into a Word document for later referral.
I just did a "title-count" of the list. I'm nowhere near finished even what's on my shelves (let alone what's in bins in my closet) and I'm already at 300+. My almost-floor-to-ceiling shelf unit double-stacked with books is grinning rather smugly at me, I can feel it, because I haven't even begun counting what's on those shelves.

I didn't realize I had quite this many books. I've even forgotten I had some of them. I had every intention of reading them when I stuck them out of the way and just forgot about them ._. Ooops.
...and I'm totally going to buy a lot more at that book fair 8D 8D 8D Hopelessly incorrigible.
