why do these thoughts always occur to me at 5 in the morning
Okay, so my pseudo-crush on Ra(y)leigh continues.
Looking at his nose, does anyone else think he's related to Robin? I know, I know, a stupid thing to compare looking for "proof" when Law looks like the clone of Gin and Tashigi looks like Robin with glasses now that her hair's longer, and I wouldn't mention it normally. Except that someone on Roger's crew knew about the Poneglyphs and knew how to read them. I've always wondered if it was Roger himself or if he had picked up an Oharan scholar at some point in time, who was just signing Roger's name (since he was captain) to the Poneglyph in Skypiea.
And I've wondered too if part of the reason why Roger was so gung-ho to send people out to Raftel (where the last stone and presumably One Piece are) was in part to get the other archaeologists/people who had knowledge of the stones looking for the same thing. Like it's a clue of sorts - head in this direction for a secret - kind of thing.
And then we get this second mate who probably was Roger's sounding board the way Ben seems to be for Shanks, and whose got that same odd nose like Robin.
Really, I'm asking to be proven wrong. As in "but this character and this character and this character have the same nose too! It's just Oda's style" because this seems a little out there even for me. And maybe I'm just obsessing too much over Ra(y)leigh.
