So I've just spent twenty minutes sitting in the entrance way of Abercromby Square reading 'Night Watch' waiting for people to show up for lecture (Becs and Saz both being temporarily deceased you understand). I get through Lu-Tze trying to explain about bloody quantum to poor Vimes and then decide to head up to the lecture room anyway. On the third bloody floor. So I march upstairs, grumbling to myself as I go ('want to go back to bed, want to read more 'Night Watch', want chocolate, want someone to publish 'The War of Tremanthia' so that I can live behind a keyboard like Terry Pratchett, want Sean Bean' - that sort of thing), get to the room to find I am the only person there. I kid you not. A moment later the American student whose name I can never remember arrives (I am so awful with real people's names) and a few minutes later Hannah arrives. Its now ten o'clock. We bitch about politics, George Bush and democracy for a few minutes while waiting for Angela to arrive. She does so. There is three of us and my translation is lousy. Five minutes later I'm home and more than a little concerned about what's going to happen if its just me and Hannah in Late Egyptian this afternoon.
Bah.
Now its not that I mind missing the lecture (ha, far from it!), or even traipsing up three flights of stairs. I know Saz feels awful and Laura had a horrible cold yesterday and Becs isn't one hundred percent either. What I object to is the principle of the thing - I could have stayed in bed this morning! *cries*
Ah well, I'll live. At least Olly's questions gave me something to amuse myself with this morning. And now I am going to go read 'Night Watch' for a bit.
