New responsibility and a new bathroom
Was absolutely freezing walking to and from the station today, hence the Araki-in-scarf icon! I think winter may have arrived ^_^;
Anyway, today was an Important Day with many capital letters because today was the first day I got to take proper charge of Archives without having anyone else get in my way. And everything was fine. Better than fine, in fact. I was nicely busy all day so the hours sped by, I sorted out all the little hiccups that tried to get in the way and while there is still a massive backlog to clear (because my former colleague spent his last few weeks doing... err... nothing) I'm confident I'll get it done soon enough.
In short, life is now a lot less stressful ^___________^ So I'm eating chocolate to celebrate and am going to do a bit of Tremanthia-writing in a minute.
Other things worth mentioning:
- The Squirtle was with us this weekend. She and I watched Death Note: The Last Name, miscellaneous extras from the extra disc that came with it, Kazuki's 2007 GIG performance (jfnakldnfkjxnfHOT!), Hyomyu in Winter highlights (i.e. the bits when Kazuki was on stage), Hyomyu winter backstage and Squirt watched her new VEX DVD because she's going to marry Souta (he just doesn't know it yet).
- Yesterday evening, while I was doing the ironing, Squirt and I started watching Treasure Box. Mother was sitting in the lounge at the time. She didn't move. She watched. She laughed (especially at the bit where Hibino and Amanai get chased off stage by the massive boulder to the Indiana Jones-esque music). She still teases us for watching unsubtitled Japanese stuff *rolls eyes*
- Strictly Come Dancing: I can't believe that the British public are so stupid that more of them voted for Kate Garraway (whose salsa was a disaster) over Matt (who was fab in the Viennese Waltz) and that Matt ended up in the dance-off!?! Are these people blind??? As much as I think Anton is very entertaining, I want Kate out of the competition, if I wanted to watch car-crash TV I'd be watching X Factor or something like that >_<;
- Our bathroom's being replaced this week. So no shower until the weekend and I'll have to wash my hair in the kitchen... fun!
- I've started my Christmas shopping. If anyone wants something from me, then request a fic!.
