#155 - Plague Soldier Beetle

Chauliognathus lugubris or Chauliognathus pulchellus, doing their bit to preserve the species. They were fairly common that week in Uranquinty, but not in the plague proportions that sometimes earns them their common name.

Useful predators of aphids and other soft garden pests. As it happens, desperance wanted a soldier beetle identified just in case it was the 'Plague-bringing Fava-eating Death of Life Beetle' but I reassured them of it's good character and they are now to be known as the 'Beneficial Blackfly-nomming Cuddlebug'.

blobs with no bones in, education even if you don't want it
