South Dakota...wildness

We've been in South Dakota the past few days and we've had a pretty decent time. It's very pretty here, the countryside I mean. We went to Wyoming (2 hour drive) and it was absolutely beautiful between here and there. I've decided where I want to buy "that little piece of land I have" later on in life...obviously when the money situation gets better: the mountains of South Dakota/Wyoming. As we were driving in the mountains between here and there (Newcastle, WY, to be exact) we went through an expanse of the Black Hills (where the big Harley Davidson ralley is held...Sturgis, SD), and then up into the mountains. The rolling hills and lush prairie greens abruptly gave way to sharp peaks and evergreen forests. Every so often in the mountain pass there were little valleys where a few houses were built...I want to be near some of those...not in them, but near. Would be kind of pointless to go build a place in the mountains and then be in a village...ugh...

John will definitely appreciate this part...The night before our trip to Wyoming, we went to Deadwood, South Dakota which is basically now a gambling town...so kind of like it used to be minus the whores :( Anyway, I played cheap-ass blackjack and ended up winning $10. Then I plunked a few coins into a slot machine...and won $50! So I kept drinking free alcohol and won another $60!!! Ended up coming out of Deadwood nice and snookered and up $110 or so. I got cool pics of the actual place where Wild Bill Hickock was shot, along with some decent videos. I'll post them up somewhere soon.

We leave for Butte, Montana tomorrow...12 hour drive or so, but no concert...so kind of a day off. Nice. Over.....
