Horrible time at All-Con
Hey guys- I just wanted to share some pics of the costumes I've made recently. I did a Dr. Horrible for my boyfriend last summer (which he wore to Gen Con) and then joined him this spring at All-Con as Snow-White-Penny. We ran into a Captain Hammer and got a few awesome shots as well.
A classic pose! I made the coat (err.... yeah...) and painted the gloves and goggles as well as his rayguns (not seen here)... so... yay me?
That's me as Penny. I'd tried spraying my hair red (spring is the wrong season for inexpensive wigs :( ) but it looked terrible so I went natural. :D The shirt is a Wal-mart find, the belt is from the dollar store (painted the buckle), cardigan was found at the thrift store (then stenciled by me) and I made the skirt. I went and found some almost accurate shoes- but... we didn't get many pictures since we were running a lot of events at this convention. Oh well!
Rayguns! I made him a matching set (red and blue details) for this con. This a terrible picture I got with my webcam. Sorry about that! Sadly, the rayguns are now out of town with my boyfriend, but I'll get him to take some shots with all the ones I have made for him. (Like.. five???)
We got this adorable badge art drawn for us in the artist's alley. The girl was going to charge us 5.00 but we were so thrilled we gave her 10 cause hey, she drew two of us! (Tiny rayguns are the best!!!)
This is Andrew at Gen-Con last year. I mostly posted this to show off my mad raygun skillz. :D
Our favorite raygun. We made this at "Take Apart Day" at the WonderLab in Bloomington, Indiana. They said it was the best thing anyone ever made there. The best part about this is it was essentially free to us! :D WIN!
