The good Doctor is pacing some in his make-shift laboratory. He'd managed to find two adjoining rooms in the massive Mansion, both with thick walls and sturdy doors with solid locks... what better place to do his work? The furniture had been cleared out of the second room but for several chairs, a glass cabinet now filled with various chemicals and vials, and a tall mirror, with several desk-like tables brought in to set equipment up on.
In the anxious man's hand is a small leather journal recording his experiments to date... a chronicle showing in painful detail one man's change from hopeful young doctor to a frail, desperate man. It would be hard to hand it off as he was about to do. He'd never let anyone read past the first few hopeful pages, and now it was to be entrusted to a woman he hardly knew.
Henry had decided to allow Mina Harker to transcribe his experiments where he could not. The good Doctor had no idea what things were like once Hyde had taken over, and that bit of information was essential in order to progress. While he hated putting an innocent in danger, she had been quite insistent and the help was certainly appreciated.
Mina had been given the location of the rooms, and a key to let herself into the laboratory. All there was to do now was wait.
mina harker,
