Internet Absence
So, as I posted on my twitter account, I'm taking a hiatus from the internet for a while. I waste far too much time on the internet, just literally staring at the screen like a drone. I love twitter, LJ, tumblr and fanfic.net but I get distracted by other sites and it takes up precious time.
I won't be a student forever, and I don't want to waste from free time I have mindlessly surfing the internet - there are so many books I want to read, movies and TV shows that I want to watch, my saxophone sits unplayed and not to mention the amount of writing time I waste. I am slowly becoming more serious and more confident about my writing, and I would love to do it professionally, but this means a lot of work.
I'm annoyingly inquisitve by nature and my wasted hours on the internet lead to me finding out things I don't need nor want to know. I just need some time away to get my life and act together, so I know that when I come back to twitter and my other sites, I'll be more self-disciplined.
I'll still be checking my email regularly and on MSN very occasionally, as well as reading/review fanfic updates and the like. And if you need to contact me, of course I'll reply. But for now I'm under the radar, trying to make sense of things.
