8-bit Theater, the first webcomic I ever read is over. I'm glad it didn't end the way most webcomics do, by having the author flame out horribly, but by completing the story. I got to meet Brian Clevinger a few years ago. With the glaring exception of Tim Buckley, every webcomic author I have met has been completely gracious, fun and fantastic people. Scott Ramsoomair, Hawk from Applegeeks, Matt and Ian from Machall/Three Panel Soul were some of the most delightful people I've met... but Clevinger is their king.
It makes me very happy knowing that a webcomic guy like him made it and made it big. I highly recommend his comic book, Atomic Robo.
Just read this tiny story he did for free comic book day last year. Now he's working for Marvel on their upcoming Avengers Vs. The Infinity Gauntlet.
That's nothing short of amazing.
A guy who starts out with photoshop and Final Fantasy sprites is now creating with Marvel. Take from that what you will.
