(no subject)
After much practice, reading, and deliberation i finally broke down and bought into online poker. I sent $150 Bodog's way thanks to an invite from Kirk (everyone's favorite hustla). Yesterday was the first day i played. I made $10 online, and stopped early in the evening to play a live game with friends and took home $15 from that. Seriously, that is my food money until thursday. But... today i won another $10. Given my $15 signup bonus i'm up $35 from where i started.
Another highlight of today was a $2.20 sit and go i finished second in for $5 in cash :D. i had the biggest stack the entire time and when it went heads up i pushed him all in when he had AA and AK (yeah that screwed me) but first place was only $1 more so who cares. the experience was nuts and fun.
This gives me a lifetime poker winnings of about... $35 so far. a small start, but a step in the right direction :D
I need to finish Sklansky's Theory of poker soon and start Lee Jones' book >_<;;
