Good things I do because my religion tells me to:

1) Try to forgive the people who've wronged me. I don't always succeed, or sometimes I succeed for a while, and then go back to being angry and bitter. But I try. And as a naturally angry and vindictive person, I wouldn't try if I wasn't told that I had to.

2) Feed the poor. I almost never give money to panhandlers, but if I am near a restaurant or store I try to always offer to buy them food. Sometimes I have actually brushed them off just to catch myself, turn around, and go back to make the offer. And if I'm holding leftovers I will always offer them, even if I was really hoping to eat them for lunch the next day.

3) Give ten percent of my income to charity. Now, I don't extend this to my household as a whole, which means I shouldn't really get many bonus points for it since I rarely actually make any money myself, but when I do, I always put ten percent aside for charity. Because I'm supposed to - even if I'd much rather spend it on cupcakes or something.

4) Sit down for dinner as a family at least once a week. Usually.

Evil things Atheists Have Justified:
1) Eugenics
2) Communist Revolutions and the mass murders that follow them
3) Other stuff

Someone recently claimed to a friend of mine that only religion convinces good men to do evil. But that good men would still do good and evil men evil with out religion. I am an evil man who does good because of religion. I love my god because my god loves me and my god loves humanity so I try to love them, too. Even when I don't want to.
