So, things

There's some of the good;
  • My niece was engaged on the weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, in Disney World. It's a place that's about half an hour away from their place, and they have season passes. The wedding is exactly a year from that point, and to be held there as well. She wants me to be her Bridesmaid. :3 She had already chosen her wedding dress, and our bridesmaid gowns.
  • I'M GOING TO DISNEY WORLD!
  • This year, I'll be able to go to 3 conventions. Anime Boston was a blast. Otakon and New York Anime Fest are what's left. NYAF? The weekend of my birthday. Which is amazing, because I used to have a family tradition where we'd celebrate my birthday on the nearest weekend.  The people I'll be seeing again are close, almost like family to me. We're comfortable with each other, and it's not common interests; Even differing interests we can enjoy with each other.
  • Hungary Cosplay was a go! As in, it wasn't bad. I'm especially pleased because it's the first thing I made all of the clothing by hand. At least the formal dress, apron, handkerchief, undergarments and such. I had a 'young/casual' Hungary that had the orange/tan skirt and black shirt as well.
  • The third weekend of June, I'll be in North Carolina for a family reunion. It's good, really. I can scare them with my clothes and such, and visit my brother. It's been a while, so I'm happy that we're heading down there. Plus, they have something called Gemstone Hunting. You basically sift through a bag of dirt, and get to keep any of the minerals that you like. I've gotten garnets, sapphires, quartz, and more. I'm hoping we go there again.
  • My periods are no longer 10 days long, heavy, and painful. Though the extreme change can be worrying, I'll take this as a plus.
  • SO MUCH MUSIC!
  • Photoshop CS5 is sooo pretty.
  • New computer! It took a while, and I had to find the right deal, but now it's ready. Just needs a nice graphics card, and I'll be all set. Happy as a clam. I'm using my TV as a monitor, so it's handy to keep near my game systems and such. If only I had a capture unit...

There's also some bad. You can't escape it.
  • In 2008, I had a very bad back spasm. To the point I went to the hospital. Unfortunately, lately it's been persistent and getting worse. I have some stuff to make the pain tolerable, but it's been constant for about two weeks. This is worrying me, because I'm afraid it's going to lead to something serious.
  • I've been having dreams that lead to me having cancer and/or some neurological issue. It's not just because of the things that have built up over the years, and progressed to a worse state. I think it's because it's that point between my father's birthday, and his death day. Considering he died from cancer, and I had seen him in times when he had seizures.
  • I tried applying to a few more jobs, and they either said I wasn't what they were looking for, or more bluntly, basically rejected me in Spanish. I get it, okay? This town has, like, a 60-75% Hispanic population, and it's also overpopulated for such a small place. There's no need to be rude.
  • It's getting difficult to stay healthy and take care of myself. Take my mouth, for example. Ever since getting sick last winter, my gag reflex has been so bad, I can't even brush my teeth, much less gargle, without gagging. I've even thrown up in the past half-dozen attempts.

Then, of course, the not so bad. In fact, some of it can be quite pleasant.
  • I don't hate the 11th Doctor. While I miss Tennant, Smith isn't a bad choice for this incarnation. I'm staying mostly up to date on the series, but am holding off on last week's episode. I want today's conclusion to play and get uploaded to wisevid first, so I don't have to deal with cliffhangers or waiting a week. I always liked the Angels.
  • My hair is to the middle of my back.  I've cut a set of bangs that are better than all of the ones I had previously. It's also dyed to a lighter colour, though it required bleaching first. Stupid stubborn hair. I'll be waiting until before Otakon hits before I remove the dye, touch up the roots, and put it to a tolerable colour.
  • I'm going around about 90% lactose free, at this point. The 10% being the occasional glass of strawberry milk, chocolate, and any sauces that have cream in it. It really confused everyone when I made the switch, until someone remembered that they kept me on it during the infant and toddler years. Due to the texture, being so thick, I'm still getting used to it to a degree.
  • No more nuts in my diet. This is mostly peanuts, and depending on what I had that day, no almonds either. Almond milk is a no-no as well. We have to be careful on the kinds of chocolate I get now.
  • With the weather improving, I may be able to go out biking in the mornings again. Though it also depends on how well my blood pressure and knees fare. Both have been very iffy.
  • We found the coupon pouch recently. So I have went through and updated that. Yay for coupons!
  • My uncle's house was sold, which means it needs to be cleaned out. The only people that are doing anything? One has leukaemia on one side, and the other has 4 kids that they take care of. My uncle left 4 daughters, and the remaining two? They don't do shit, despite having a lot more time and health to do so. Not to mention, those two are the ones that rushed everything, including getting the house sold (which led to evicting the first one mentioned at the same time.) It's not bad, but it's very sad to see the way these grown women act...

There are plenty of other things. Like the fact that I've been wanting to make truffles and such by hand. That's one desire that hasn't went away. Still, it's a nice update to give ya'll. It's been a while, and the journal can't get too dusty. Ja?
