Brothers lyrics, and a meme

Apr 21, 2006 05:50

I'm not exactly sure of a couple of the spots. Now, this is a song that is supposed to come up quite often in the anime Fullmetal Alchemist. It's sung by the voice actor who voices Ed Elric; Vic Mignogna. He also has voiced for Dark in D.N.Angel, Kougaiji in Saiyuki, Shihiwakamaru in Yuu Yuu Hakusho, and many many other roles. There's another version, in Russian, but this is the English version that he translated, and fixed up. His voice is really good~

Anyways, the lyrics, as I finally give them to you.

How can I repay you brother mine
How can I expect you to forgive
Clinging to the past I shed our blood
And shattered your chance to live

Though I knew the laws I paid no heed
How can I return your wasted breath
What I did not know has cost you dear
For there is no cure for death

Beautiful mother soft and sweet
Once you were gone we were not complete
Back through the years we reached for you
At last was not meant to be

And how can I make ammends
For all that I took from you
I led you with hopeless dreams
My brother I was a fool

Don't cry for the past now brother mine
Neither you nor I are free from blame
Nothing can erase the things we did
For the path we took was the same

Beautiful mother soft and sweet
Once you were gone we were not complete
Back through the years we reached for you
At last was not meant to be

My dreams made me blind and mute
I long to return to that time
I followed without a word
My brother the fault is mine

So where do we go from here
And how to forget and forgive
What's gone is forever lost
Now all we can do is live

To get the song, go here, to download it. Now, there's this text counting down to zero. Wait for it to reach there, which you'll have to X away the ad to notice. Click on it/right click "save as," and there ya go. I tell you this, because it's in Japanese, and some don't have the common sense to notice. xD Just kidding...

Alright, time for me to sleep.
Edit
So much for sleep. Okay, meme time. Lisa tagged me... *bites her*

Once you are tagged you MUST write a blog about your 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next six people to be tagged and list their names.

1. It's normal for me to mix katsup and mustard together for fries, hot dogs, hamburgers, or even plain bread. I don't know how weird that is, but yeah... Especially with the plain bread, I get stares for it.

2. I go to bed around 6:30.... AM. Then, I'll wake up around 4:30PM to promptly bug everyone. Why? They're tired, and I'm full of energy.

3. There are two types of dreams for me:
A) Either none whatsoever, or I don't remember them an they're blanketed by a veil of blackness.
B) They end up coming true. It's either obvious symbolism, or exactly what's going to happen. Most of the time, this leads to constant deja vu. Not fun... Not at all. For when something bad happens, I have to admit that I saw it coming.

4. All melted candle wax ends up being poured into a container. Why? There really isn't a reason. Either while the candle is lit, or just when I blow it out, the melted wax gets poured into a container. That used to be a tin gift box for Yu-Gi-Oh! cards; Currently it's an old instant ramen cup.

5. I trim the hair on my forearms. Yes, that sounds weird, but I do have a reason. Several years ago, I scratched the top layer and hair off of a long, semi-wide section of my right forearm. To avoid pain when changing bandages, the remaining hair was removed. Naturally, it all grew back darker afterwards. Since then, because my hair was medium-dark before, and now dark dark, I ended up trimming the hair to avoid the obvious appearance of hair arms.

6. I've sewn thread through my toes and fingers before. Sometimes just left the needle there in the skin for a little while. When younger, it was a fun trick to make people think I had powers. xD
