Well folks it's amazing that something can hit out of the blue with no warning.
I know I was looking for a new job and I wasn't to thrilled where I was, but it was a job. But to go to work on Thursday, work the whole day and then be told that "We're reorganizing the department and eliminating your position. We have no need of your skills. Today is your last day." Was a slap in the face.
The so called "Exit interview" was a joke. No other information to work with but a single hand out on Applying for Unemployment Benefits. They cut off my current Benefits that day too, which was oh so nice of them. No indication of when they are planning on sending me COBRA info either, so I have no insurance.
So for those of you who happen to have my email address as Mount Mary.. no I haven't been ignoring you, I wasn't able to take my personal address book either when they escorted me out. So I am missing quite a few addresses.
