Woooohoooo,
Pistons take down the Bucks in Game 5 of the first round. I was so excited because I was finally going to a Pistons game, and it was a playoff game on top of that. I got to go with B and his sister and his dad. We had such a blast. The seats werent bad at all (section 203, row 7) so we had a great view of everything.
Probably the greatest thing about going to the game was getting those Thunder Sticks that everyone gets at the games. Man, it's amazing how such little things can make you so happy. I mean, think about it...... bang two things together..... make a lot of noise! How much better can you get??? I was goin nuts with those things. And when we got home, I challenged B to a battle on his front lawn. You should've seen it.... like something out of the freakin' matrix I tell ya. Needless to say, yours truly was victorious. But the night of fun didn't end there.
Our friend Jesse had left his charger for his phone at B's house, and seeing that he doesnt have a car, we had to take it to him. No problem, though, cuz it was such a nice night just to cruise around with the windows down and moonroof open.
Seeing as how Brandon still hadn't been on the highway in my car yet, we decided to take it for a teeny tiny speed test. Long story short, I showed him how quickly we could get to 100 from being stopped on the on-ramp. He he, a little piece of fun there.
So now we are heading back to his house when we see an SVT Focus going the opposite way. Brandon says to me half jokingly "Dude, turn around". Well as you can guess I pulled a quick U-ey (U-turn, for the politically correct). I wanted to see what my car can do since I just got it. Now I now the SVT Focus is a quick little car once they get going, so this oughtta be fun.
Well I end up getting next to him so we are riding side by side. He gets on it a little bit and heads back for the highway. I'm thinking this could get interesting. So we are slowing down at this light that is about to turn green, so we stay at a roll. I stay lined up behind him because once that green light hit, we TOOK OFF down the on-ramp. Gunnin' through the gears, I'm less than 15 ft on his tail from the beginning. At the beginning 4th gear, and about 95 mph, I'm creepin' up on him. Need I remind you that there is still SOME traffic on this highway, not too much though. In and out we move as I change lanes to try and get ahead of him. Hitting 5th gear a little too early, and we are still at it. Now is about the time I'm thinking "well, im fucked if theres a cop, but oh well" because here we are, still goin back and forth at 110, 120, 130 mph until he finally decides to hit the brakes..... meaning the fun is over. Man what a rush. Slowing to about 90, we match up speeds and I look at him, giving him a thumbs up and a smile. He gives me the official fist in the air, and smiles back. All fun and games. A nice touch to a great night.
