Sammy and Dia interlude

Mun!Note: Because we needed the happy gosh darn it!

Dia laughed as she pushed her baby girl on the swings. "Higher!" Sammy giggled, "Higher, Mama!" Dia grinned widely, "Go any higher and you'll hit the moon, silly." She stepped back to watch the look on her baby girl's face. Sammy had Max's smile, that infectious charming grin that she loved so much. "Yeah!" Sammy enthused, bouncing slightly in the seat and making herself swing a little crookedly. Dia stepped in to straighten it out and pushed the swing again. "But then what am I going to tell Daddy when he comes home tonight and wants to see his princess Sammy?" Dia asked with a mock solemn tone of voice.

Sammy considered this for a moment, the swing slowing slightly. "Daddy?" she asked her mama hopefully. Dia nodded, "Daddy's coming home tonight. He should be home for dinner and tucking in." She could see her daughter processing all of this, the look she got when she was concentrating on something was adorable.

"YAY!" Sammy yelled happily once she had thought everything through her way. "Want down, Mama! Down down down!" Dia stopped the swing and let Sammy out, balancing her on one hip. "Now what, hmm? Snacktime or Naptime?" She asked the three year old who was hiding a yawn.

"Mama fight with Grandpa?" Sammy asked hopefully. Dia shook her head once, hiding a smile. Of course her and Max's child would find it amusing to watch her mother and grandfather spar. "Maybe later, sweetheart. Grandpa's at a meeting right now."

Sammy made a frowny face and laid her head on her mother's shoulder, the tip of her thumb in her mouth. "Meetings bad, Mama." Dia bit her lip to keep from laughing out loud. "Grandpa thinks so too, baby girl." She replied as she walked back towards the house. Sammy exhaled deeply, her small body relaxing into her mother's as the motion started to lull her to sleep.
