Hey -- I linked over here from BTX. I hope you don't mind if I add you to my friends list, at least for now. You write incredibly well especially for someone as young as you are -- forgive me for that; it's an annoying thing to say, I know, but I *am* old enough to be your mom. ;) Anyway, this post reminded me so clearly that one of the great things about Bruce's music is how it can connect people who otherwise might think they have very little in common beyond the simple fact of their own humanity. Thank you for that.
That was just what i needed. Beauty. My roommate is asleep and i had to clamp my hand over my mouth more than once while reading that so as not to wake him. Reading that made my body do shadowy imitations of the same reactions it had that night. Goodness, my heart is flying again. Thank you, Kevin and thank God.
I know I've already said this to you at least a few couple hundred times but Thank You so much for this. I'm still bowled over by the whole thing every time I think about it. Reading it instantly made me go back to those feelings and that euphoria all because of a ticket you gave me in April. You're a consistently talented and skilled writer but these words especially move me beyond comprehension, and I'm not exaggerating in saying that, for once.
I came back across this, and only read/skimmed up to "IS ANYBODY ALIVE OUT THERE?!"
And, again, I got goose-bumps and chills, gasped, got that swelling of excitement in my stomcah, and had to cover my mouth to contain the still fresh euphoria.
