my weekend was beyond awesome, i can't even begin to describe how perfect marcie is for me. she has truly made this the best birthday i've ever had. i know she went and really did a lot of planning, preparation, and shopping for me and our camping excursion. i mean, she got me a new AWESOME fossil brand watch since the one i wore for years finally broke from heavy use and abuse. she says she got a sweet deal on it, but i still bet she paid too much money on me for my birthday...but she's such a sweetie. she also got me some really awesome smaller gifts like water-proof matches, hotdog/marshmallow skewers, campfire starter sticks, and this super sweet safety whistle that has a compass, a thermometer, and a magnifying glass on it that fits like a keychain...lets just say that the safety whistle part of it alone was worth the price, i'm gonna blow some minds outs and make girls pee their pants when i randomly rock the whistle during those extra quiet times...i'm hoping i can use it at these specific times soon:

1. super suspense moment in a movie theater, right before the badguy gets the next victim.
2. final exam time when everyone is concentrating with all their might.
3. nursing home for the old folks...during nap time.
4. huge public libraries.
5. on the phone when anyone calls to try to sell me something.
6. whenever i'm in the car with someone who's car horn is broken and needs some help.
7. jumping onto random sports fields and "taking over" as coach because the one who holds the whistle is truly the leader.
8. jumping out onto busy intersections to act as a volunteer cop to aid in traffic...but i'd let 100 cars go on one side and then only let 3 cars go on the other, just to be unfair.

i'm sure i could think of more if i wanted to, hehe. anyhow, camping was so awesome. perfect weather, the sun was out, it was just chilly enough to really need that campfire. we hiked around the entire lake and snatched up pinecones for marcie's mom. cooked dogs and mallows on the fire, even got to crack some peanuts in the shell and throw the shells in the fire. tyler state park was just beautiful.

tonight i got to check out the show over at club indigo here in dallas. pretty tight, but nobody showed up, really small turnout. ion dissonce was just insanely sick though, technical out the wahzoo. premonitions of war was HEAVY. embrace today were good...but the sound mix was just super mushy, hard to really hear what was going on, kinda dissapointed with that. sorry i missed MSME, didn't know you guys were playing absolutely first, that sucked. embrace today are over here at the apt. chillin' now, i'm super tired though, i'm gonna crash soon.

all in all, a super rad weekend. i love you so much, marcie, thank you for making my birthday really fun and special.
