so i think archer and i HAVE to be collecting something. today he and i (and mckenzie) drew up 500 2"x2" squares on a huge sheet of card board. we are collecting lion's head bottle caps. each one has a bunch of pictures on the back that make a little saying, and they're all numbered. we also have an excel sheet with 1-500 in the left column, and the sayinng written out in words on the right column, the "answers" if you will. the highest number we have is 419, so we assumed it would go to 500 (and if it doesnt we'll just make another piece of cardboard). but the problem is that we have a total of 104 bottle caps, and only 44 of them are unique. that means we have 60 doubles (or tripples, etc). this means that they probably dont make all 500. they might phase certain numbers out after a while. like retire them or someting. it might mean certain numbers never existed and never will, who knows. but we went on the lion's head website, and we got a little more depressed. turns out they make a shit load of different drinks. a bunch of different kinds of beer, "malternates" (i dunno), and sodas. so maybe they have different numbers allocated for different products? i wrote them an email, and i am awaiting for a response. feel free to offer any theories or mail me some caps. i might post the numbers that we already have if i'm feeling ambitious.
