She was walking down the aisles of the library pulling off books that were of interest until she couldn't hold anymore. She was such a nerd. She decided this would have to do and find a table to sit at and buckle down. She happened to see a familiar looking boy sitting at a big table and smiled, well this could be fun. She walked over and plopped her books down across from him, "Well hello there handsome."

"Finally, somebody to keep me company," he said, relieved. This isolation, even after just a few hours, was like torture.

"Oh I love that class! It's definately one of my favourites. I'm about to work on Ancient Runes. Do you take that class?" Normally she wouldn't of had to ask but she wasn't in the same year as him, so she didn't know.

"I really like Transfiguration too but I'm just so behind right now...I let myself get too distracted the last month or so."

When he said he had been distracted she immediately felt guilty, "Why didn't you tell me? Now I feel horrid for keeping you from your studies. If you would have just said something I would have understood. I'm so sorry."

When he mentioned the ministry she sighed. She was never able to go to work with her dad.bit always made her sad to think about but she figured she would have to get over it with the new guy in her moms life.
"Are you sure Drew? I told you I can always help you. O have no problems with study dates," she said with a wink.

Drew always stopped himself when he found himself talking about his dad. He just felt bitter afterwards.
"That's what we'll do then," Drew told her, his voice lighter now. "At least one study date a week, ok? It'll keep me on track."

Mandy smiled at the idea. "I like it. That way we can be sure to see each other"

"I can't even imagine," he said, in a low voice. Leaning forward, he kissed her temple. "One of these days I'm going to go see him again. And maybe one of these days, you'll find out the truth. Never stop asking questions."

She was surprised at how much she cared for Andrew already.

"I doubt my sister will ever want to see him again. She was so young when he left."
