Today's picture of the day is from
London, England. In Memoriam.
I don't loathe Alabama. I love it here. Very much. The predominately practiced hobbies of the general populace are for the most part, however, not my thing. In short, I'm letting you know I won't be attending
The 22nd Annual World Deer and Turkey Expo. If you're going I do wish you the best of luck in the 62nd Annual World Championship Turkey Calling Contest. Though success may only grant you bragging rights among a small interest group, it would still be something for a resume. And possibly some free gear from companies I've never heard of.
A week and a half, and I'm unemployed. Carpe Diem, peoples. I will be seizing the carp every day until '06.
Naples was awesome. I'll try and post pictures soon.
Power is out at home. While I've been at work mom and Paige borrowed a generator from the Leslies, which is cool. Alabama Power says our "service should be restored by 11:00 P.M. July 12th." Here's hoping it's sooner.
It's a bit too coincidental that about one year apart we've been hit by hurricanes with names that match up to something so well. Ivan the Terrible. Dennis the Menace. If only Dennis had menaced the Hoover Library and bit more I'd not have to have been here.
Cheers everyone. It's about finding the silver lining, you know. Since there may be nothing that works at home, I may go out tonight and catch lightning bugs. The simpler things in life are sometimes put on the shelf for too long, I think.
