A great new restaurant
After six years in the neighbourhood, Scott and I have tired of the restaurants. We have our favourites but it's the same thing over and over. The Carribean restaurant finally closed and something called the Calico Cats opened up. Scott and I have complained that there isn't a diner in the area - well now there is. It doesn't look like one but the food's bang on.
Tonight's special was Turkey and all the fixings. For $12.95 you get soup or salad, turkey with cranberries, dressing, veggies, gravy and a big helping of mashed. Dessert was either rice pudding, jello or bread pudding. They are all good but the bread pudding is delicious! It wasn't Scott's but for $12.95 you can't go wrong.
Other specials include Liver & Onions and Roast Beef.
Unfortunately it doesn't appear they are doing well. We were the only people tonight. If you are in the neighbourhood (north side of Danforth just west of Donlands. Drop in and enjoy a good, home cooked meal.
I am going to have to do lots of extra cardio - between dinner and the Tiny Tom donuts I'll be having tomorrow the weight it going to going up.
