Well, Here We Are Again

Life has a funny way of popping back up and suprising you. So fortunately do I.

As a means of giving you a quick update of what is going on with me:
Kristen Norine and I are dating. We began dating in November of 2005, and we are still going strong. I love her. I really love her, and it is one of the more amazing things that has ever happened to my life. I was involved in several incredible projects my second semester of sophomore year. I played Victor Witt in Grand Hotel on the Merriam stage, and it was an utter delight. I adore working with Charlie as a director and I got the chance to work with the fantastic Owen Robbins and Rex Henriques as well. Brilliance all around, including the phenomenal cast, which included such favorites to me as Molly Walsh and the great Kati Lyles (with whom I am still smitten). Also, I wrote a one act play which UArts premiered as part of their Equinox festival of student written and directed pieces. It was directed by the genius Jenn MacMillon, to whom I owe most of my life blood as an artist lately. It was received incredibly well, seeing as how Jenn is brilliant. After school ended, the cast lists for Fall came out, and I am pleased as punch to say that I will be playing Officer Lockstock in our school's production of Urinetown in November of 2006. I am incredibly excited. I will be working with Patty Raine as director, Owen as musical director, and Nancy Kantra as choreographer. Excitement. After that, I was in a show with the Gay & Lesbian Theatre Festival of Philadelphia. It was called Naked Will, and I played Oscar Wilde. It was also directed by Jenn MacMillon. I had a lot of fun, and we got a great review from Toby Zinman in the Philadelphia Inquirer. A lot of my friends and family were able to see the show, which was great for me. It really meant a lot. And now, after that concluded, I am working as a TA for the summer program for Musical Theatre for UArts. It is most definitely the best job I have ever had.

There's the news update. The witty, emotional updates will come with time.

Sound the trumpets, bitches. The Bechtel is Here.

_______Alex.
