Bring on the Fambly Silver!

Dec 28, 2012 17:24

This time in dress form...

Once more all the bits were stacked, stitched, trimmed, turned through and pressed, and then blinged!  As the pattern on this lace is much smaller and has no points, I didn't worry too much about lining the pattern up.

This lace prooved to be MUCH easier to sew on, and I could sew BOTH sides on by machine!  Yay!  Woot!  And even close too you cab barely see the stitches in all the busy of the silver lace.

Once again the biggest challenge was getting them all to look the same.

Then it was time to put the rest of the bodice together.

Once the tabs were in place, the rest of the lace was pinned in place.  it won't take long to sew on, but I need a break to make cupcakes!  This evening I shall sew the bling on and make up the sleeves, and then do my packing!

This lace is narrower, so I could get a strip up the middle of the back, covering the seam.  Go me!

I think I need to make the eyelets in the front before sewing the lace down...  I shall think about that as I make cupcakes!
