on my italian dress i left the front center flat and knife pleated the front sides to just before they rounded the hip area and then acrtridge pleated the rest. flat on the front fluffy in the back. thats what worked for me any how. you can see my dress here if you wanna get an idea of what that looked like

haha thanks! i JUST found it and i saved it and tried to get back to the lj user that made it so i could note down her name and i can NOT find it. i am bummed that i cant tell ya who made it. i kinda feel like a jerk for using it with out knowing but i figure i look for icons alot and ill come across her again eventually and take note :0)
