So, despite having a good job offer lined up for when I graduate I went to the fall job fair on Thursday. I ended up spending a couple hours there (despite my promise to myself that I would just look around). Talked to a lot of companies and got a lot of free pens (and a free John Deere hat! Hell yeah!). Ended up with a couple interviews for Friday. Both interviews went extremely well, esp. the one for Trane (an HVAC sales company). HVAC sales is one of those professions that you can make $200k after your 3 years with the company but you will be working 60-80 hours a week doing it. But the job she "envisioned" for me (her words, not mine) would be in Colorado or Kentucky. Meh.
I shot my first real gun yesterday. I shot Landon's .45 and we rented a .22 assault rifle. The guy's at the range gave Landon a hard time for starting me out on the .45 (holy hell, what a recoil on that thing!) . But I was almost more accurate than Landon with it due to all my practice with my BB guns (oh yeah...I bought another one of those last week too). We both loved the .22 though.
After we went shooting we went out to lunch and talked about much we loved the .22. So we decided to go halvsies on it. So I now own half of a GSG-5(there is a 10 day waiting period so we didn't get to take it home right away, but I'm still excited). Here's a pic of the bad-ass boy found online:
I have already broken the news to my parents that they probably shouldn't have let their slightly redneck daughter of their sight. Though I still haven't told them that I got a tattoo while I was in Long Beach with Nicola. They probably wouldn't let me go to Las Vegas next weekend for fear I would end up married. I need to work on my impulse control.
