(no subject)
I really should have planned my day out yesterday.
Not having a plan resulted in me getting up at 9:30 this morning and I have done diddly squat since then. But, I think I'll go see Carniverous for a bit. I have the dressage team party at 2. Working on senior project report after maybe? I dunno, we were supposed to get it done last night but I had a hard time getting the boys motivated. Studying at the very least. HVAC final at 7 am Monday morning, Controls final at 10 am Monday. Oi vey.
But senior project!!!! We finished our ramp the day before the expo and it worked! It held something like 700 pounds with only a 1/4" of deflection! And it only weighs 12.5 pounds (which is more than we were hoping, but we had to add a bunch of carbon fiber). Our sponsor was thrilled, and we got a lot of interest at the expo. OF courses, they put us next to the damn 6-legged robot and the ramp looked pretty lame next to that.That said, pretty much all engineers come to the expo and so I got to see people I haven't seen in years.
Of course, I got asked no less than three times "Are you a mechanical engineer, too?" I'm wearing the same damn shirt as my teammates, I just finished demonstrating the ramp to someone else, what do you think I am? Bastards.
But this weekend is mostly studying for finals. Two finals on Monday, one on Wednesday. Then cleaning, and hanging out with some friends before heading back to Seattle.
