ferndale happenings.
tonight i'm going to ferndale - my friend sean has a show. you should come out for some good indie rock & free fun! you can hear him & his sister sing here: polar opposite. he has such a good voice ... & he is always singing to me. it's cute.
& we've been having really fun breakfast & lunch dates. mostly at toast, inn season (juno girl has been there), & om cafe ... all so yummy. i recommend them if you haven't been, & especially if you're vegetarian.
but my favoriteee thing that me & sean have done lately is hang out on the set of drew's movie :D :D :D i got to hear her direct (she's so polite, but assertive) & see how a movie is made. these things don't happen in detroit, ya know! so it was such an experience. i can't believe someone said to me "quiet on the set" it was so cool. after they "that's a wrapped" - i met her - on a random sidewalk, away from all the movie junk. i waited til she finished up a conversation with (who i later found out was) steven spielberg & then we said our hellos & how are yous & "you're beautiful (!)'s" to each other. it was so eerie & magical because no other fans or people were there. it was me & her (& a few crew & sean). she has such a lovely spirit. i feel very blessed that i got to spend a moment in time with her! ♥ she is SO tiny. SO, SO tiny. i'm 5'2 & she's about my height & very thin (but healthy looking).
it's pretty cool to have these celebrities around. & i think it's cool they know the "hotspots" to go to, haha. ellen paige has been at the WAB, inn season, AJ's cafe, etcetc.
anyway, i'm going to clean & try to put together a cute outfit for school tomorrow. PS: cross your fingers that me & melanie are able to get the money & the time off of work to make it to chicago in a few more days ... i need to see jenny lewis! & kelly! & chicago in general!
