Once in the deep junlges, lived amounst animals the fox and the elephant.
The fox, leading his life as a cunning, and persuasive being.
And the elephant who lived at peace, helping drag the heavy burdens
One day, at the lion's den, a cub had gone missing
The Lion's pride, being short its one and only cub, sought
their cub, back and if not that, at very least revenge to the animal
who had probably devoured it.
The fox approached the Lion male and stated:
"Sir Lion I can do this for you, but you must make me a promise that if
do this, all of my own cunning deeds will be forgotten, I am a fox, afterall."
The Lion responded with a sigh "Yes sir Fox, if you can I suppose I would"
And the fox ran off into the jungle to make right..
Several minutes later, the elephant trudges along, and sees the lion
in shear dismay, and says,
"Good lion, what seems to be the matter?"
replying the Lion said "My young cub has gone missing"
The elephant sighed, in tune with the lion, and replied
"I may be large and, I may not be as the fox is, but I too shall help"
After many hours of searching the fox returned panting and saw the lion.
"I know where your cub is sir lion, and I will tell you if forgiveness is mine"
The lion in a content uplifted spirit, says "Of coarse!, tell me now.!"
The fox replies "Am I to be fogiven upon this exchange of information?"
The lion nodded, and just as he did the elephant trudged back.
Sighing the elephant looked down at the fox.
"So?" the lion asked
The fox grinned evily, and said your cub is in my belly now" and the fox
cackled, as now he had a meal AND forgiveness, and the lion weeped.
(they do weep people, they do.. )
The elephant seeing the lion's pain took one mighty step,
The elephant looked around at the crushed bones beneath his feet.
"I'm sorry sir lion, I had seen this and could not run fast enough to stop
"Or warn you.."
The lion looked at the elephant and said "I shall forgive you sir elephant"
For what you did was in just.
The elephant kneeled down and spoke these words:
"I am not right for what I do, for I carry to help those in need."
"I can lend what I am, to whom I choose, but still I can not accept
a pardon. What I did was out of love, and I will throw myself to the jackals"
And another...
An elephant and a snake come to a river.
And the jungle behind them is burning due to a lightning storm.
Across this river swims many viscous alligators.
The snake says to the elephant, "Can I get a ride I am too small
and will be eaten"
The elephant, being a master of burden, agrees and says "sure, hop on"
They wade through the river and come to the end
Upon dismounting the elephant, the snake turns and injects the venom
behind the elephants ear!
The elephant cries in pain and falls to the ground.
breathing heavy the elephant says "Why would you do this? I have helped
you across the river?"
The snake replied "Just as you are the carriers of burden, I am, what I am"
