I don't remember litiginous being one of the stages of grief

The family of Josh Hancock, the Cardinals pitcher who died after running his car into a parked tow truck, is suing the bar where he drank that night, the towing company, and the owner of the car that was being towed .

I happen to believe that the bar may have been negligent if he drank there for three + hours and was at double the legal limit, but I also doubt he was buying his own drinks and they reportedly tried to call him a cab.

I'm less clear on the tow truck and stranded driver though, particularly since Mr. Hancock was drunk, on his cell phone, not using his seat belt, in possession of weed, and in a rental - having trashed his own SUV less than a week earlier (allegedly while drunk).

I think there are a lot of lessons to be learned here before we get to "sue everybody".

thinkiness, 27 outs
