Last night I did
yet another music meme, back to lyrics instead of photos this time, which is apparently what I do when I am too tired to go out on a Saturday night. I am so FILLED WITH LOVE FOR YOU ALL RIGHT NOW because when I was looking up lyrics and all I kept thinking "NO WAY! NO WAY anyone get's this stuff and honestly I DO listen to music from this decade, too." And yet, there is only one song left unclaimed this morning!
I have NO IDEA if people know this artist. He's Austin-based now (grew up in Maine) but I think he's pretty well known now, in Americana and folkish circles at least. I did smile when this showed up as it is one of the two songs with my name in it that I actually like (the other being The Road Goes on Forever and the Party Never Ends by Robert Earl Keen). If you're a long-time reader here you will have seen and heard this guy before but who knows what sticks, yeah?
I CAN tell you that he has a tremendously unusual name!
