Still sorting through the mess
One not so great thing that occurred during vacation was that my debit card was cancelled. Just after I made some small charges (Aero bars OMG) in Montreal. Despite the fact that I gave the credit union advance notice that I would be out of the country.
It wasn't terrible, I had cash and an actual credit card that I hate to use and I really wasn't spending much...all the expense was getting up there.
But now that I've got a shiny new card with a shiny new number I'm trying to track all the places (amazon, itunes...) that have the old number and I just thought to look for a charge I made right before the trip, a gift for someone, and sure enough it never charged out! Now, I'm a little peeved because it should have charged and shipped long before the card was cancelled and because I TOLD HER I WAS SENDING SOMETHING (but not what) and GRRRR. The major retailer couldn't have dropped me a "your payment didn't go though" email or something?
