Growing up on the Gulf Coast in the mid-sixities with surfers for older siblings my first summer song was Surfin' Safari (1962 with 409 as the B-side). Sibs 2 & 3 will attest to me driving them CRAZY by asking for this record over and over. This and Sweet Pea by Tommy Roe (1966)! I have a huge personal list of iconically summer songs and will be uploading some over the next few days. What about you?
