It's hard to believe that this amazing Longhorn baseball team is done for the season rather than heading off to Omaha. In many ways I think it is a stronger team than last year and they made it to the finals. There's a tradition of saying things like "they beat themselves" and such and while the Horns were uncharacteristically unable to get runners around today (my god, they stranded runners in so many innings!) the truth is that TCU played brilliantly and completely deserved the win.
No road trip to Omaha this year, after all. It's only a little frustrating in that I think TCU and UT both deserve to be there and that either are stronger than Florida State who'll be TCU's first challenger in the bracket.
So thanks to the starters: Cohl, Brandon, Tant, Cameron, Connor, Kevin, Kevin, Russell, Jordan and of course to the amazing pitching staff: Cole, Taylor, Brandon, Chance, Hoby, Andrew, Stayton and the rest! It was a pleasure to watch you guys compete.
